Two days that will change your practice forever
To help you become one of the leaders in providing this highly effective, time-tested protocol, we host sessions of our intensive PerioPassion! two-day seminar twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall. We invite you to prepare now to attend the next session.
Seminars are held at a nearby hotel and our state-of-the-art dental office in the charming Port Warwick section of Newport News, Virginia. Choose the date that’s most convenient but register early because space is limited. Past sessions have filled up fast.
Day One
8:15 am to 5:15 pm on Friday includes an in-depth discussion of:
- Current research into the systemic effects of oral disease. Even if you’ve followed the increasingly impressive research into this topic we believe you’ll be amazed—and compelled—by this summary of clinical evidence of the ways in which oral disease contributes to life threatening conditions like diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular disease, complications of pregnancy, and other conditions.
- The oral manifestations of systemic disease, including signs and symptoms of nutritional deficiency, osteoporosis, obesity, inflammatory conditions of the gut, and certain cancer therapies.
- Initiating and maintaining effective communication with your patients’ physicians. Partner with area physicians as you win their trust and their referrals and establish yourself as your community’s highly valued expert on the oral/systemic link.
- The use of phase contrast microscopy for powerful patient interaction and evaluation before, during, and treatment.
- Integrating DNA-PCR genetic testing and bacterial DNA testing to assist you in diagnosing and treating your patients’ periodontal disease more effectively.
- How your team can perform and understand specific medical blood tests for your periodontal patients that will help their physicians diagnose and manage undiscovered systemic disease. Tests of these kind clearly demonstrate to both patients and physicians that your practice is on the leading-edge.
- The importance of nutritional supplementation in the new protocol. Learn the facts about the nutritional management of periodontal disease and chronic inflammation in the body and how to confidently explain the benefits to your patients.
- An exciting look at the research behind nutritional supplementation. Research shows that proper nutritional supplementation results in significantly less oral inflammation. This improvement is marked by a decrease in periodontal pocket depth average 2.5mm, along with impressively reduced bleeding scores of over 90%. We’ll summarize the data and review dozens of actual cases that demonstrate the exceptional effectiveness of this nutritional therapy.
This all-day Friday session will give you the information you need to establish yourself as a leader in periodontal medicine and in implementing this highly effective, newly-emerging standard of care for soft tissue management. Day Two
8:00 am – 5:00 pm Saturday will review the specific protocol we have developed, including the use of one of the most refined of the soft tissue lasers. You will learn how our method provides good results, and exceptional protection for your patients’ dental health. This session will include:
- The definitive role of laser therapy in the protocol along with hands-on demonstration of the technology. Although not absolutely necessary for successful treatment, this advanced device lets you treat periodontal patients effectively and mostly painlessly in your own office.
- The highly successful targeted marketing we use to attract the patients who are most in need of an most accepting of what we have to offer.
- The verbal skills my staff and I use to gain over 95% patient acceptance of our perio protocol.
- Review of Perio Arts Institute ongoing research of DNA and blood testing for periodontal patients.
- Review of case presentations confirming the effectiveness of our periodontal protocol, to include improvements in systemic health.

Elite, one-on-one instruction in periodontal treatment
We strongly encourage you to attend with at least one member from each department and ALL hygienists. There is a role in this new protocol for everyone of them, and its success depends on their skill, enthusiasm and dedication to achieving excellent results.
To further enrich the seminar, we’ve recruited Dr. Rick Samaha, a Board Certified Emergency Physician, and other medical colleagues with extensive experience in Integrative Medicine, to provide medical perspectives as needed.
You’ll also have the opportunity to learn from our Course Director, Director of Research, Research Assistants, our practice’s Clinical Assistants, and members of our Administrative Team. They will share more about the exciting and significant work in which we are involved. Our research protocol has proven so significant we consistently want to provide blood testing and DNA testing for our perio patients and we believe you will feel the same way once you’ve attended the event.
