About the Perio Arts Institute
Our Mission
- To positively impact healthcare in the U.S. and throughout the world by educating dental and medical health care providers on the integral association between oral and systemic diseases.
- To provide ongoing updates on dental and medical research pertaining to optimizing diagnosis and treatment of relevant life- threatening diseases.
- To encourage a new standard-of-care in health professions wherein the medical and dental evaluation of all patients includes a cooperative dialogue among each patient’s dental and medical practitioners, particularly when periodontal diseases are diagnosed.
- To continually improve and reveal clinical protocols for periodontal disease treatment including the nutritional support of periodontal tissues, soft tissue laser therapy and the use of new technologies and assessments for the treatment of periodontal disease as they emerge.
- To instruct on the testing of blood levels of recognized systemic markers of disease in order that such testing will become an integral part of the evaluation of patients diagnosed with periodontal disease.
- To routinely incorporate the DNA-PCR testing of periodontal patients in order to better understand and successfully treat their disease process.
- To engage in active clinical evaluations and research in order to document the value and validity of established protocols.
